Our Strategic Priorities: Ubuntu 2025

The name of this years strategy, "Ubuntu 2025: Thriving Learners, Stronger Communities, Shared Purpose," deliberately encapsulates the core philosophy underpinning our work. 'Ubuntu', a powerful African concept meaning 'I am because we are,' perfectly articulates our belief that the success and well-being of each individual – be it a child, a member of staff, or a leader – is inextricably linked to the collective strength and vitality of our entire Trust and its surrounding communities. 'Thriving Learners' represents our ultimate outcome, acknowledging that true success extends beyond academic attainment to holistic growth, fostered by a supportive ecosystem. 'Stronger Communities' reflects our commitment to the reciprocal relationship between our schools and their local areas, recognising that thriving schools build strong communities, and strong communities enable schools to flourish. Finally, 'Shared Purpose' embodies the Ubuntu principle internally, signifying our unified vision, values, and the collective efficacy through which all schools and every individual within the Rainbow Education Multi-Academy Trust will work cohesively to achieve our ambitious goals.

This strategy is a testament to our conviction that by nurturing interconnectedness, we maximise impact.

This year, we are focusing on two main strategic priorities:

1. To ensure that children with SEND and other vulnerable pupils thrive — by securing readiness for the next stage of education and firm foundations for learning, because when we get it right for those who need school the most, we get it right for everyone.

2. To pursue sustainable growth that deepens the impact of our work — by strengthening our family of schools, expanding our Trust-wide offer, and investing in a skilled, collaborative team to serve our communities with excellence.
